Clear impact from day one.

"Working with AHS was a great experience from start to finish. They were extremely knowledgeable and patient while answering all of my questions. Instead of pushing a plan, they focused on helping me understand what was best for my situation. It’s rare to find that level of service today."

I have never shopped for insurance before. What are some things I should ask?

1.  Can I choose my doctors?

2.  What’s my maximum out-of-pocket for medical expenditures?

3.  Can my premium increase due to claims, or is it guaranteed renewable?

Why are employer options expensive to add for my family but not expensive for just myself?

Once your employer group reaches a certain threshold, they are required to contribute at minimum 50% of their employees’ coverage cost.  However, there is no requirement for them to contribute to any additional family or spouse members.

Your age is also not a rate-bearing factor with employer options. Pricing is predicated on 1. Group size and 2. Claims submitted from the entire group. Therefore, regardless of if you are 55 or 31, both parties are paying the same value on their selected coverage.

What is short-term insurance?

Short-term health insurance (STM) refers to medical coverage that is used for a temporary period of time and is traditionally the cheapest cost of coverage. Short-term insurance can be found with carriers such as BCBS, CIGNA, UHC, Aetna, and more.

However, STM does not provide coverage for preexisting conditions or associated complications, prescriptions, or preventive care. Traditionally, STM options have heavy gaps and caps of coverage.

What is a Medi-Share program?

Medi-Share, also known as cost sharing, is a non-profit, Christian-based medical expense-sharing program. Members pay a monthly share into one large sum, which is technically a credit union account. Those with expenses use that money to pay their bills if the bill is approved by the governing body. This route is not regulated, and 100% of exposures rest in the individual participants that opt for this coverage.

What is the difference between an HMO & PPO?

Insurance in America is a for-profit business. Therefore, if the state is required to give “free” healthcare to those who financially qualify, they will then increase the premium for those who don't and restrict who you can see to bring their “profits” back to equilibrium.

HMO stands for Health Maintenance Organization and is a type of health insurance plan that usually limits coverage to care from doctors who work for or contract with the HMO. It generally won't cover out-of-network care except in an emergency. An HMO may require you to live or work in its service area to be eligible for coverage.

PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization and provides coverage for both in- and out-of-network services, allowing them to be nationwide.

Will your plans cover me anywhere I go?

YES! Nationwide coverage for both on and off the job. They are PPO plans, so you aren't limited to coverage in your zip code/county like many plans.

Is there a contractual obligation?

No! Health insurance is entirely month-to-month, and carriers have no cancellation or termination fees. Use your plan only when you need it.

Why does my state plan keep increasing in cost?

Once again, insurance is a for-profit industry. Regardless of our personal beliefs, it is a business. They continue to increase your premiums to offset the “free” healthcare they currently give out or dependent on claim usage in both your area and individually.

State insurance in FL is more expensive than state insurance in WY because FL is more populated and therefore causes greater claim usage compared to WY.

Do I pay you anything?

Nope :)!  I am 100% free and carry no fee. I also personally come with you for the life of whichever plan you pick. We are always in this together!

The only thing I ask is that if you are happy with my services, please do not keep me a secret! Let your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors know I exist, and hopefully I can help them out as well!
